I’m having so much fun going back through my sessions from last year to get them on the blog! I keep doing this “OH I LOVE THIS ONE, NO WAIT, I LOVE THIS ONE” the whole time picking out pictures for the blog! The way Nicole hired me for her family session is through an auction for sweet baby Evy. Evy went home to Jesus a few months before Nicole and her family had their family shoot on Maui, but this shoot and this family will always hold a very special place in my heart.
I come from a family of all girls, and I myself only have 2 girls. So my whole life all I’ve known is girls. The closest thing that I know to a brother is my cousin, Andreas. We spent many summers together when both our families lived in Europe and hung out a lot more when my family followed after them and moved to Arizona in the early 2000s. But that is all I know about boys and so when Nicole told me she has 4 boys, I kinda freaked out.
Will they behave? Are they gonna be rowdy and not wanting to smile? This was one of my first sessions in Hawaii and I really wanted to give them the best photos ever! Let me just tell you that not only were the boys super behaved and nice, but they were funny! Their brotherhood had my laughing the whole time, they laughed at all my dad jokes and even told me some jokes themselves. They had a great time with their dad and I definitely saw the strong relationship between the dad and his boys. And my most favorite, they adore their mom, they listened to her and made sure that Nicole got some beautiful photos to remember from their time on Maui.
This is was such a beautiful family and the Ironwoods Beach made the perfect location for their Maui family shoot.
